Hi! We are Lee & Amanda Porter, and together we not only make an amazingly good-looking couple, but also we make up Pie in the Sky Photography. We are just two people with a love for looking at the world from a different perspective and doing what we can to make the GOOD life look a little BETTER! Amanda, a photo genius, and Lee, a graphic design mastermind, complement each other’s strengths perfectly and decided, why not use our powers for good. Here’s a little about us:

Amanda has always had an eye for design and photo. Through her years working with amazing people and shooting their weddings, families, kids, babies (fill in the blank), she has developed a love for natural lighting that brings out natural beauties of whomever it is she may be shooting. She is an amazing mother of (soon to be) 4 beautiful children. When she’s not busy being a supermom (and sometimes while she is being a supermom) she keeps an eye out for fun and unique places to shoot. She looks for the types of locations that will let people be themselves and let their personalities really show. She realizes that there is always more to learn, so she is constantly striving to improve and become a better photographer, mother, wife, and human.

Lee has always loved design work. Even at a very young age he was coming up with logos and t-shirt designs for friends and family. He dabbles in various projects that allow him to use his creativity; projects ranging from graphic design (building website, designing logos and t-shirts, etc) to building custom furniture and home decor to help Amanda beautify their home (thank you Ginger & Pickles). Lee is the type who looks at something and says, “Sure I can do that. Why not?” Then he figures out how to do it. As a perfectionist, he pays attention to the small details that can make a big difference. He loves working with Amanda and her amazing talents. Because he loves to make things look good, he picked up photography fairly quickly and is always looking for that unexpected shot. But besides all of that work stuff, Lee loves being a father, husband, and friend (not necessarily in that order).

Enough of the boring work stuff! Here’s a little about who we are:

Together we have 3 beautiful daughters and our son will be arriving soon. We feel so lucky to have been blessed with our sweet girlies. Not only do they make great models, but also they are so fun and bring so much joy to our home. We have a strong belief that families are most important and we do whatever it takes to spend as much time as possible with our family. (Maybe that’s why we love shooting families) We love to play, travel, and did we mention have fun? We also love to help others wherever we are, striving to make the GOOD life be a little BETTER.
